Thieves strike Arbor Greens neighborhood

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two suspects for the theft of two vehicles and multiple break-ins of cars at the Arbor Greens development in Jonesville.

According to ASO spokesperson Art Forget, ASO responded to reports of the thefts on Friday, April April 30th.

“We responded to two stolen vehicle calls and four vehicle burglaries in the Arbor Greens neighborhood,” Forgey said.

On Friday afternoon deputies located one of the stolen vehicles traveling on SW Williston Road, according to Forgey.

“The vehicle fled from deputies and traveled into the Campus Lodge Apartments where the occupants abandoned it and ran. They were apprehended and the second stolen vehicle was located in the parking lot,” Forgey said. “A firearm was also located in the parking lot.”

Madrek Eugen Nobles, 18, was charged with vehicle theft, conspiracy, larceny, fleeing/eluding arrest, hit and run, no valid driver’s license and burglary of conveyance, according to reports.

Jarquez Kerreim Mitchell, 17, was charged with two counts of vehicle theft and burglary.

According to Forgey, a third juvenile was also arrested but is only facing misdemeanor charges at this time.
