Last week the VA hospitals in Lake City and Gainesville held daily walk-up vaccine clinics, and both locations announced Saturday that they will again offer walk-up access starting Monday, March 1.

Both locations will open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Malcom Randall Medical Center in Gainesville will remain open an additional day, Saturday, March 6, for the same hours.

Although no appointment is needed to participate, the vaccine doses are only available to eligible populations. Those include veterans over 65, high-risk veterans, veterans who are essential workers (as defined by CDC guidelines) and   veterans under 65 with high-risk conditions (including kidney disease, obesity, and other conditions).
