2022 All Area Girls Basketball

Welcome to the 2022 All Area Girls Basketball Team, presented by Smith Law Firm and Mainstreet Daily News. We convened a panel of local sports writers and coaches to select the best of the best from the 2021-22 high school basketball season, taken from within Mainstreet’s nine-county coverage area in North Central Florida.

The team is broken into two squads: small school (1A-3A) and big school (4A-7A). It includes 20 players and 2 coaches, each of whom is receiving a commemorative plaque in recognition of their outstanding season. We’ve also recognized several Honorable Mentions at the bottom for players and coaches that deserve recognition for their outstanding effort and performance. Each of our stories is listed below, followed by the full roster with photos. Congratulations to each of these student athletes and coaches on a job well done!
