Hawthorne dug itself out of a first quarter hole and pulled out a 50-14 win over Wildwood in Florida high school football on November 19.
The Hornets’ force showed as they carried a 40-14 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Hornets’ offense darted to a 16-6 lead over the Wildcats at halftime.
The start wasn’t the problem for Wildwood, who began with a 6-0 edge over Hawthorne through the end of the first quarter.
