Wednesday, May 6

Artspace Cricut Mother’s Day card making

Spring Mother’s Day Tea Party

Saturday, May 9 

Pressed flower suncatchers 
When: 2 to 3 p.m. 
Where: Micanopy Library Branch (706 NE Cholokka Blvd., Micanopy) 
Children will work with pressed flowers to create sun catchers for mom during this craft, with all supplies provided. 

47th Annual Mother’s Day Weekend Cultural Arts Festival 
When: Noon to 6 p.m. 
Where: Wilson Robinson Park (13975 SW 174th St., Archer) 
Hosted by the Archer Cultural Progressive Organization, this year’s free festival will feature live entertainment, kickball, softball, volleyball and basketball tournaments, a bounce house and kid activities. 

Painting class 
When: 4 to 5:30 p.m. 
Where: Painting with a Twist (618 NW 60th St., Ste. B, Gainesville) 
Paint a bouquet, swan, sunset or Mommy & Me tree. Class is recommended for ages 6 and up, with all materials provided. Parents are encouraged to let children work by themselves and must accompany those under 12. $27-29. 

iDance with Mom: A Mother’s Day Pop-Up Party 
When: 1 to 4 p.m. 
Where: IndepenDANCE Studio (13537 NW 1st Ln., Newberry) 
A special afternoon designed to slow down, connect and make memories together. The event includes dance and movement activities, spa-inspired relaxation moments, arts and crafts and brunch-themed treats. Must pre-register. $28-59.  

Mother’s Day Harp Music 
When: 2 to 3:15 p.m. 
Where: Millhopper Library Branch 
Celebrate your mother by bringing her to listen to beautiful harp music played by Nina Krengel. 

Brandford Farm Stand: U-pick Flower Fest 
When: 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (and Sunday) 
Where: Branford Farm Stand (27687 US-129, Branford) 
Enjoy flower picking (including zinnias and sunflowers) in North Florida’s largest u-pick flower field, a Ferris wheel, live music, food, shopping in a new barn store, outdoor vendor market, hay rides through the flower field and kid farm activities. $10 per person, 2 and under are free. 

Bryer Patch: U-Pick Flower Festival 
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (and Sunday) 
Where: The Bryer Patch (5700 SW 250th St., Newberry) 
Admission includes access to u-pick flower fields (wildflowers, sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos and more), hayride to see cows and ducks, barrel train ride, food vendors, farm animal petting, play paddock, face painting, splash zone and live music. Ages 13 and up are $12, 3 to 12 are $10, and 2 and under are free. 

Da Spot: Mommy & Me Mother’s Day Tea 
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
Where: Da Spot (6005 SE US Hwy 301 #501/#502, Hawthorne) 
Celebrate the love between mothers and daughters with a tea-style brunch, fun games, gift bags, interactive activities and special bonding moments. $28.52. 

High Springs Mother’s Day Spring Thrift Crawl 
When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
Where: 18559 Main Street, High Springs 
Whether you’re hunting for statement décor, vintage gems or just a fun day out, grab your friends, mom, aunt, neighbor and tote bags, and come ready to thrift your heart out.  

14th Annual Mother’s Day Seafood Extravaganza 
When: Noon to 6 p.m. 
Where: Hawthorne Recreation Park (6000 SE 205 St., Hawthorne) 
Hope for Hawthorne is inviting the whole family to enjoy a delicious seafood spread while showing appreciation and giving back to those who mean the most. Enjoy a bounce castle, water slide, kickball and live music.  

UF/IFAS Mother’s Day Fishing 
When: 8 a.m. to noon 
Where: UF/IFAS Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, Millhopper Unit (7922 NW 71st St., Gainesville) 
Families can fish together in a safe and fun setting in “catching ponds”. Anglers can catch and release bream (bluegill, red-ear sunfish, warmouth), largemouth bass and channel catfish up to 10 pounds. Volunteers are on hand to help and equipment is available. 

Sunday, May 10 

Mother’s Day Lounge at the Greater Gainesville Pickleball Open 
When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
Where: Legacy Park Recreation/Multipurpose Complex (15400 Peggy Rd., Alachua) 
Whether you’re cheering on players from the sidelines or just stopping by, treat mom to something special. Moms can enjoy chair massages, professional photos, a flower bar, coffee and continental breakfast, facials, hair and hand treatments and a kids’ activity area. 

Brown’s Country Buffet Mother’s Day Special 
When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
Where: Brown’s Country Buffet (14423 US-441, Alachua) 
Special menu featuring a 12-ounce prime rib entrée and two sides for $29.99 per person, or a grand buffet for $14.25 per person. 

Kulaqua River Ranch Mother’s Day
