The Florida Heritage Foods Initiative at Santa Fe College will present the Floribbean Festival on Thursday.
The festival will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the Gainesville Farmers Market (619 S Main St., Unit 1A).
The Floribbean Festival celebrates the cultural and culinary links between Florida and the Caribbean. Learn new recipes and cooking techniques. There will be Florida heritage crops grown by local farms for sale and tutorials on how to grow these crops in your backyard.
Visitors will also get to taste new ways to cook these crops.
