Lithia man dies when vehicle goes off US 441, strikes utility pole

A 21-year-old Lithia, Florida man died Saturday morning when he drove his Kia Seltos off US Highway 441 near Micanopy and collided with a utility pole.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was driving on US 441 at County Road 234 West at 6 a.m. when the Kia traveled off the roadway and collided with a traffic utility pole. He was ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead on scene.
