UF online bachelor’s degree program receives No. 2 ranking

The U.S. News & World Report named the UF online bachelor’s degree programs No. 2 overall.

According to the U.S. News & World Report rankings released Tuesday, the University of Florida was selected No. 1 for its online bachelor’s program for veterans, in online bachelor’s in business programs and online master’s in special education programs. U.S. News ranked UF as the top online bachelor’s degree program over the past two years.

In a press release, UF said the top veterans ranking recognizes UF’s certification for participation in the GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon programs, which provide tuition and other benefits for veterans, along with student retention, graduation rates and faculty credentials. U.S. military members from around the world can pursue their degrees at UF.

Along with being named No. 2 overall in online bachelor’s degree programs, UF was ranked No. 2 in online master’s in education programs and No. 3 for its online bachelor’s in psychology programs, its online master’s in curriculum and instruction programs (tie) and its online MBA programs for veterans.

“The success of UF’s online degree programs represents the university’s commitment to high-quality offerings across platforms, especially for our veterans and many other students who benefit from the flexibility and access available online,” said Joe Glover, UF’s interim provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, in a press release. “Our faculty and staff have established an impactful, fulfilling and supportive online educational environment that results in extraordinary student outcomes.” 

According to UF’s press release, UF Online has consistently been recognized as one of the country’s top online bachelor’s degree programs. UF Online offers 27 degree options from 10 colleges with several academic specializations. In the U.S. News & World Report, 18 online programs were ranked among the best in the country.

In August 2024, Forbes magazine ranked UF as the No. 4 public university in the nation and in September, U.S. News & World Report selected UF as the No. 7 public university.
