The city of Alachua and San Felasco Tech City welcomed Fortune 500 company Siemens with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday as the technology and industrial conglomerate opens an office and warehouse.
San Felasco Tech City, a private tech hub and business space, called Siemens, the largest engineering company in Europe, an exciting addition and a significant milestone.
“We are thrilled to have Siemens join other exceptional companies of San Felasco Tech City,” Mitch Glaeser, CEO of the Emory Group Company that developed tech city, said in a release. “This facility not only strengthens its operational capabilities but also reflects its commitment to innovation while building strong partnerships within the communities it serves.”
The press release said San Felasco Tech City, with 65 companies already, was a natural choice for Siemens with its values in digital innovation. Siemens started moving into the space in May after it was announced in September 2024 that the company was coming to Alachua.
