Ellianos Coffee, a southeast-based drive-thru specialty coffee brand, is coming to Newberry after signing an agreement with new franchisees Eric and Randi Preston.
The Preston's have a combined 35 years of experience in the food service industry in North Florida, according to a Ellianos press release.
"It has always been our dream to own our own business, and we are very excited to open our Ellianos Coffee franchise," Eric said in a statement "Newberry isn't too far from our hometown, and we love the small-town feel, along with it being a growing community."
The shop will be located near the main intersection in Newberry, just east of Newberry United Methodist Church. The opening date has not been set.
The Ellianos menu offers items such as the Cookies and Cream Freezer, Tuscany Toffee Latte, or Milan Mint Mocha. The shop also offers breakfast food items, fruit smoothies, cookies, energy drink concoctions, and much more.
"We are really excited to bring Ellianos Coffee to Newberry," said Newberry Mayor Jordan Marlowe in a text to Mainstreet Daily News. "A drive-through coffee house will serve our residents well."
According to the Ellianos press release, the company has accelerated its growth over the past year, expanding throughout Florida and Georgia. It is seeking franchisees for territories in Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
The news comes on the heels of another recent eatery announcing plans to open in Newberry. Last month the city commission approved a development plan for Bev's Burgers to open a new drive-through restaurant across from Oak View Middle School.
