Huddy’s Escape is set to open on May 15 in Gainesville.
The new horror genre escape room will be located at 209 NW 75th St.
“Our thrilling new escape room experience is set to open in Gainesville, marking a significant milestone after a 10-month journey,” said Huddy’s Escape owner and co-founder Adam Tencza. “Our team behind this high-end venue is eager to unveil their creation to the community with its first game called ‘Jacobs Nightmare,’ anticipating the joy and excitement it will bring to residents of Gainesville and beyond has us pumped.”
Tencza, in an email to Mainstreet, said the company decided to expand its business a year-and-a-half ago and considered various cities in Florida, such as Daytona, St. Augustine, Tampa and West Palm Beach.
“Last summer, after careful deliberation, we selected Gainesville as the ideal location to debut our newest most innovative 60-minute escape room game designs,” he said. “After months of dedication and creativity, we are proud to introduce our latest game, ‘Jacob’s Nightmare,’ as part of the exciting expansion of Huddy’s Escape in Gainesville. This thrilling addition will join three other captivating games at our venue. Embracing the welcoming community, we are thrilled to offer seven days of fun for all to experience and enjoy at Huddy’s Escape Gainesville.”
According to the website, Huddy’s Escape was founded by Tencza and Leigh Zeedyk. There is also a location in Ocala.
