Butler Enterprises announced Thursday that J.Crew Factory is coming to Gainesville this spring.
The store will be located at 3910 SW Archer Road in Butler Plaza West, but the announcement did not include an exact opening date.
The store is poised to become the first J.Crew Factory location in Gainesville. Currently, J.Crew Group operates 10 J.Crew Factory stores around Florida, in addition to eight J.Crew stores, none of which are closer than Jacksonville.
“J.Crew Factory offers fun, classic and colorful styles for women, men, and kids, and stays committed to dressing every family for any occasion,” a Butler press release said. “The retailer offers new arrivals monthly, plus exclusive in-store-only offers and events.”
According to the release, the location will offer various services, including the option to buy online and pick up in the store. It will also provide the ability to book private shopping appointments and discounts to teachers, college students, healthcare workers, first responders and military personnel.
J.Crew is a 75-year-old company that filed for bankruptcy in May 2020—amid a flurry of Chapter 11 filings at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic shutdown. The company emerged from bankruptcy just four months later and has since enjoyed a resurgence in popularity.
