“We are so excited for everyone to see the store,” said Courtney Austin, the store manager, in an interview. “We are launching our new products and have some fantastic things planned for breast cancer awareness month. We are excited to make our footprint, get everyone in here, and host some amazing events.”

Shoppers can have an interactive experience to create custom jewelry with the brand’s unique Kendra Scott Color Bar.

During the opening weekend, the brand will show its love and support for the local community through partnerships with non-profits and campus organizations.

“Giving back is super important,” said Austin. “It is one of our three core pillars of the brand – fashion, family, and philanthropy. Kendra built this entire business with $500 in her pocket, and she is all about creating jewelry for an amazing community and giving back kindness.”

Austin said much research was put into finding the right charities to partner with for the weekend. Using social media and walking around the community were the most helpful in finding the correct fit.

“Opening a store in Gainesville, we want to make sure we are making a lasting impact on the community and working directly with members of the community who are making a difference,” said Amanda Young, the marketing and philanthropic manager, in a phone interview. “It is an honor to work with local organizations.”

A percentage of sales will go back to Circle of Sisterhood, Blossoming Butterfly, and the Ronald McDonald House of North Central Florida.
