Planet Fitness Gainesville will host a construction preview event at The Oaks Mall on Saturday, May 2.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6419 W. Newberry Rd. The preview will allow the community to get an exclusive first look at the new facility before it officially opens.
The one-day event will offer guests a behind-the-scenes preview of the facility, along with a full day of entertainment, family-friendly experiences, giveaways, gym tours, food, refreshments and more. The LifeSouth Bloodmobile will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing an opportunity for guests to give back during the celebration.
Planet Fitness will officially open to the public at noon on Monday, May 4.

According to the release, “the new location represents a strategic transformation of a former retail anchor space into a high-visibility, community-driven fitness destination.”
The facility will feature a large, dedicated turf-training zone, an open, glass-forward layout that draws attention from throughout the property, and a Black Card lounge designed with flexibility to introduce new amenities as member programming evolves.
