The movie screens at Gainesville’s Regal Celebration Pointe & RPX are slated to open on April 16, according to a message sent out on the Regal app on Tuesday.

The list of upcoming openings shows the other two Regal Cinemas locations in Gainesville will open two and three weeks later.

According to the announcement, the Regal Butler Town Center location will open on May 7 and the Regal Royal Park location will open on May 14.

All three Regal movie theaters closed in March 2020, then lit up again in time for the Empire Strikes Back 40th anniversary in September. Then they went dark again in October 2020.

Last week Regal announced a slate of locations would open April 2, but the only two in Florida are in the Orlando area.
