According to a press release, the Rotary Club of Gainesville has worked with the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce and student Ethics Ambassadors from the Warrington School of Business at the University of Florida since 2011 to select individuals fitting for the award.

The Ethics in Business Award honors and recognizes businesses or individuals in the Gainesville community that exemplify the ideals of Rotary and demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical practices in all facets of their business.

The Club’s Ethics in Business Committee solicits nominations each October from the Gainesville community for this award. The nominations are then presented to the Business Ethics Ambassadors at Warrington School of Business at UF who conduct interviews with each nominee. The Committee reviews the recommendations of the Ethics ambassadors and award recipients are then selected.
