Rowan, a woman-founded and women-led ear-piercing brand, will open their second Florida location at Butler Shopping Center District in late fall.

The company has more than 50 locations across the United States and its newest will be located at 2850 SW 35th Drive, Ste. 70 in Gainesville and its business hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

According to a press release, Rowan founder Louisa Serene Schneider created the business when she saw the need for a safe ear-piercing experience for her daughter. With Schneider’s understanding of finance and retail, she created Rowan, a place where anyone can go to get piercings and have a safe and special experience.

The store contributes to the safety of each piercing and doesn’t use piercing guns. Instead, licensed nurses use either a hand-pressurized device or a needle for all clients ages 2 months and up. To ensure proper healing, Rowan offers tailored aftercare recommendations and premium hypoallergenic earrings.
