Rush Bowls to open first GNV store

Rush Bowls is set to open its first Gainesville restaurant on Saturday next to UF.

The Colorado-based franchise, known for its concept of fresh and healthy meals in a bowl, will be located at 1360 West University Ave. below The Standard at Gainesville. The store features blended fruit/veggie bowls and smoothies, along with protein bites and specialty products for dogs.

“Just in time for the start of the spring semester, we couldn’t be more excited to open the doors to our first Rush Bowls location,” Rush Bowls franchise owner Sean Byers said in a press release. “My wife and I are looking forward to sharing our all-natural menu with our Gainesville neighbors and, of course, our beloved Florida Gators.”

The restaurant’s hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Customers can order via the mobile app for pick-up or delivery. The menu features meals crafted from fruit, topped with granola and honey and blended with vitamins and protein.

Rush Bowls, created in 2004 in Boulder, Colorado, has 40 restaurants in 21 states with 100 new locations in 24 states in various stages of development. The Gainesville store is the first in Northern Florida.
