Sushi Sake is slated to open in the summer of 2024 at a retail space in the Midtown Apartments.
The chain restaurant originates in South Florida and offers a “fresh take” on Japanese cuisine. On the menu are sushi rolls, hibachi dinners and party platters for large groups.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing the unique flavors and vibrant atmosphere of Sushi Sake to Gainesville,” said Jason Hurst, who along with Damarious Arroyo brokered the deal with Collier International’s Gainesville Office. “Their goal is to create an unforgettable dining experience, marrying exceptional cuisine with an inviting ambiance. We can’t wait for them to become a part of the vibrant fabric of the Gainesville community.
There are 47 Sushi Sake locations which are largely located in South Florida and 2 locations in Central Florida.
The Gainesville location is a part of the restaurant’s growth as it also plans to open a location in Tallahassee.
