A responding CCSO deputy located the vehicle near the scene with three individuals inside. The vehicle fled northbound onto Interstate 75 from U.S. 90 West and law enforcement pursued.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) joined CCSO deputies in the pursuit, which continued on I-75 until mile marker 437, when an FHP trooper used a successful PIT maneuver that ended the chase. The three suspects were apprehended without incident.

One of the victims was released with non-life-threatening injuries after being treated at a local hospital. The other victim was transported to a trauma unit with serious injuries.

A motive for the shooting is still under investigation. According to CCSO, preliminary information is that the suspects in the incident resided out of county, and all are adults. Their identities are being withheld pending further confirmation and the investigation remains active.
