Three individuals were stabbed in a domestic dispute in Hawthorne on Saturday night, with one person still in serious condition.
According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) release, multiple deputies and detectives responded to the 5800 block of SE 223rd Street in Hawthorne on Saturday night to the report of three individuals who were stabbed.
“Two males and one female were transported to the hospital,” said ACSO spokesperson Lisa Sacaccio in an email to Mainstreet. “One male and one female were released while the other male has serious injuries but is in stable condition.”
ACSO has not identified the suspect yet, but believes it is one of the three who were stabbed.
“[It was] a physical altercation [that] happened at the residence off of SE 223rd St., where the three people were cut or stabbed,” Sacaccio said, adding that the residence of 5827 SE 223rd St. was where the incident took place and where one of the victims was located.
The other two victims (one male and one female) fled the residence in a vehicle and drove to the CVS at 6025 SE US Highway 301 to get help, Sacaccio said.
ACSO deputies arrived at both scenes and started medical aid to the three people.
