Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies are investigating a shooting at Harbor Cove Apartments that left one teenager injured Monday afternoon.
According to ACSO spokesperson Capt. Kaley Behl, deputies were dispatched at 4:37 p.m. when multiple gunshots were reportedly fired at Harbor Cove Apartments and nearby Hidden Oaks mobile home park.
One teenager was shot in between Harbor Cove buildings, located at 6815 West University Ave.
“He was shot once and had non-life threatening injuries,” Behl said. “There are multiple suspects. A whole lot of rounds were fired and there are bullet holes in vehicles, fences and on the sides of buildings.”
Behl also added it was fortunate only one person was injured as the shooting occurred close to the Harbor Cove playground.
ACSO is directing anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (352) 367-4170.
