Law enforcement arrested a 26-year-old Alachua County woman on Thursday and charged her with more than 70 counts related to child pornography.
According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) release, law enforcement arrested Trinity Johnson and charged her with 64 counts of Distribution of Child Pornography, 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, two counts of Manufacturing Child Pornography and one count of Use of a Two-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony.
The arrest stemmed from an incident on Monday, Jan. 26, after the ACSO/Gainesville Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a CyberTip concerning a situation that involved a subject sharing illegal material online.
An investigation by an ACSO detective traced the content to a social media account associated with Johnson that revealed the suspect had a personal connection to one of the victims depicted, which raised concerns about her ability to further victimize children.
On Thursday, law enforcement located Johnson at a residence in Northwest Alachua. After being questioned by an ACSO detective, Johnson was arrested and taken to the Alachua County Jail, where she is being held on bond for $1,925,000.
