Alachua Police investigate burglary at Lawful Defense gun shop

The Alachua Police Department (APD) is investigating a Monday-morning burglary that occurred at Lawful Defense Guns & Transfers on NW 13^th Street.

According to an APD release sent on Monday, the burglary occurred around 12:52 a.m. at 9420 NW 13^th St. in Gainesville.

The suspects allegedly entered through the building’s roof.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Forensics Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives team are assisting APD.

The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available, according to the APD release.
