Alachua Police respond to stabbing during domestic dispute near Mebane Middle School

The Alachua Police Department and Alachua County Fire Rescue responded Thursday afternoon to the 14,000 block of NW 167th Place following reports that a person was stabbed during a domestic dispute.

According to an APD release, the incident was reported at approximately 1:15 p.m. and Alachua County Fire Rescue responded.

Because of the incident’s proximity to Mebane Middle School, the school was placed in a secure status as a precaution.

Authorities said the scene has been secured, all individuals involved have been detained, and there is no known threat to the surrounding area or Mebane Middle School at this time.
