Armed man robs High Springs CVS

An allegedly armed man robbed the High Springs CVS drug store on Monday night.

According to a High Springs Police Department (HSPD) release, officers responded at 7:30 p.m. to the report of an armed robbery call at the CVS located at 19225 NW US Highway 441.

The investigation revealed that the unknown suspect entered the store and implied that he was armed with a firearm and demanded narcotics. He then fled the store on foot and allegedly departed in a small gray compact vehicle.

According to the release, the suspect is believed to be a black male dressed in Nike gray clothing.

Both Alachua and Clay counties have experienced recent CVS robberies and law enforcement believes that the suspect is the same subject involved in each incident.
