Columbia County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) detectives arrested three suspects for multiple offenses on Wednesday morning.

According to a CCSO press release, deputies responded to an apartment complex on SW Pizarro Place around 10:20 a.m. to the report of gunfire. On scene, deputies learned a male subject – later identified as Jeffery Clark, 32 – was suspected of shooting at occupants in a vehicle located in front of the complex. The vehicle was struck multiple times. Clark was inside an apartment when deputies arrived.

Deputies ordered Clark outside and both Clark and a female – Tionne Cooper, 25 – exited the apartment and were detained. A search of the apartment revealed illegal narcotics, but the firearm used in the shooting was not located. Both Clark and Cooper were arrested for narcotics and Clark will face additional charges associated with discharging a firearm.

Prior to Clark firing a gun, deputies learned that Lawrence Green, 39, was causing a disturbance at the same location. Green was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

“We will not tolerate people who endanger our community by resorting to violence and will act quickly to hold them accountable,” said Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter in the press release. “I am thankful no innocent citizens were harmed during this reckless incident.”

According to the release, the investigation remains active.
