According to the post, GPD officers were already patrolling downtown in response to large crowds and responded to the gunfire when it occurred. A fourth victim was struck by a vehicle during the ensuing chaos as people fled the area. That person also sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was not involved in either shooting.

The GPD Investigations Bureau is investigating leads.
