Gainesville home invasion leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

One person died and two were injured during a Tuesday morning home invasion in Northeast Gainesville. 

According to a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) press release, officers responded around 6:56 a.m. to a home invasion at a northeast residence and found three people shot. 

All three people were transported to the hospital where an adult female victim succumbed to her injuries.

The two other wounded individuals are considered the main suspects in the home invasion, according to the release, and are under law enforcement watch at the hospital.
