Gainesville police arrested Zachery Andrew Kipple on Wednesday night on charges of stalking, indecent exposure and voyeurism after asking for the public’s help identifying him earlier that day.

According to an arrest report, Kipple, 24, was seen by separate female victims in April watching them through windows.

One victim, who reportedly saw Kipple outside the gym at Windsor Park Apartments (3705 SW 27th St.), said she spotted him partially behind a pillar and with his pants pulled down and his genitals exposed. He was allegedly using one hand to look at his phone and the other hand to masturbate while also watching the victim. She reported to police that he was a tall white male with a slim build, dark hair, wearing a black hoodie and shorts and between 23 to 30 years old.

Another victim said she saw a man outside her bedroom window during the night and gave a similar description of the suspect to the police. She installed a camera outside the back of her apartment and Kipple allegedly showed up several more times in April and May.

On Wednesday, after GPD released a surveillance photo to the public requesting help identifying the suspect, a witness called the police and said he had spoken with Kipple, who admitted he was the person in the photo and felt suicidal. GPD detectives reported other calls that identified the suspect as Kipple.

After conducting a well-being check at Kipple’s residence, GPD detectives said the suspect invited them into his home, where he was read his Miranda rights and was interviewed. During the interview, Kipple was shown the photos from the second victim’s surveillance camera, and he reportedly admitted looking in her bedroom window and admitted to masturbating numerous times outside her bedroom window.

Kipple was charged with two counts of a first offense of voyeurism, two counts of indecent exposure and stalking. The charges are misdemeanors. His bail was set at $500,000.
