An adult male was shot in the area of 4100 NW 6th Street on Thursday afternoon.
According to a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) release, officers responded at 2:11 p.m. to calls of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported the victim to UF Shands Hospital.
The suspect has not been located as investigators search the scene. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call 352-955-1818.
