The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) arrested a 25-year-old Jinru Yang on Thursday after he shared child sexual abuse videos with an undercover officer.

According to a GPD release, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Division with assistance from GPD SWAT served a warrant at 3009 SW Archer Road, Apt. D2, following an investigation into an unknown user accessing a peer-to-peer network and shared nine child sexual abuse material (CSAM) videos with an undercover GPD detective. The videos were considered horrific in nature and included prepubescent children.

After denying having videos of CSAM on his devices, a GPD preliminary analysis of Yang’s computer revealed one of the videos he sent to the undercover detective and four other CSAM videos were found on his computer. A complete forensic analysis of his devices is pending.

Holt arrested Yang and he is charged with four counts of possession of child porn and one count of distribution of child porn

Yang is being held at the Alachua County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
