Gunfire strikes Lake City house

More than a dozen shots were fired at a Lake City residence on Tuesday evening.

According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, officers responded at 10:19 p.m. to NW Lee Lane to the report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers found three uninjured individuals inside the residence. One person told the officers that they heard between 15 and 20 gunshots outside the home but did not see any anyone or any vehicles in the area.

One bullet went through a front window and lodged into an interior wall. Officers searched the area for evidence and further damage but were unable to locate anything.

LCPD asks anyone who has information regarding this incident to call 386-752-4343 and speak with investigators.
