High Springs police apprehend suspect on FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list

A person listed on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list was apprehended following a traffic stop in High Springs on Wednesday morning.

According to a High Springs Police Department (HSPD) release posted on Facebook, officers conducted a traffic stop within High Springs around 10:21 a.m. after receiving information regarding a person believed to be associated with an active federal fugitive investigation.

The person is connected to a federal case and is listed among the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, according to the release. The identity of the individual was not released by HSPD.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) assisted HSPD during the traffic stop and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
