A Friday underage tobacco and alcohol sale sting led to law enforcement arresting a Lake City clerk at the A&D Discount Liquor store.
According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, officers assisted the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (ABT) in an operation to combat the underage sale of tobacco and alcohol.
Law enforcement stopped four customers leaving the A&D Discount Liquor store at 126 SW Main Blvd. on Friday evening suspected of being under the age of 21. It was verified that the four – who had just purchased alcohol – were underage. The four received citations from ABT agents for possession of alcohol by persons under the age of 21.
Law enforcement then arrested store clerk Rabhuji Dharmendrashin Thakor for making the sale. Thakor was transported to the Columbia County Detention Center.
