The Lake City Police Department (LCPD) is investigating a gunfire incident that left three people injured Tuesday night.

According to an LCPD release, at 10:30 p.m. multiple officers responded to a call of shots fired at the intersection of NW Early and NW Georgia. Officers found three people with bullet wounds, but none with life-threatening injuries. All were transported to area hospitals for treatement.

LCPD reported having no information regarding possible suspects other than that the shooters may have been driving a newer white model sedan.

Tuesday’s shooting follows a string of gun violence in Lake City, including a September shooting that left a Jacksonville man dead

The city has installed cameras around the city to enhance safety, but police have previously said they struggle to get witnesses to come forward to identify perpetrators of the violence.
