Lake City Police officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire and one home being hit in the northeast section of town on Wednesday evening.

According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) press release, officers investigated four gunfire incidents between 8:30 and 11:30 p.m.

At three of the four scenes, officers were unable to locate any witnesses, damaged property, shell casings or any other evidence that a shooting allegedly occurred.

While investigating the fourth shooting scene, officers spoke with the occupants of a home who heard multiple gunshots coming outside but reported no injuries. Shell casings were discovered in the street in front of the residence and bullet holes in the exterior of the home.

LCPD asks anyone who has information regarding this incident to call 386-752-4343 and speak with investigators.
