Update: Days Inn robbery suspect arrested

UPDATE (April 17, 4:15 p.m.) The Lake City Police Department reported that Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers located the vehicle used in Sunday’s Lake City Days Inn robbery and arrested the suspect, Erien Jo’Ell Davis, 24.

Law enforcement is searching for a black male who allegedly robbed the Lake City Days Inn on Sunday afternoon.

According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, officers were dispatched at 12:26 p.m. to the US Highway 441 Days Inn for a reported robbery.

Officers discovered the suspect entered the hotel and approached the counter inquiring about a room. He placed a legal pad on the desk that had a note informing the clerk that he was armed and to quietly give him money from the cash drawer. The clerk complied, and the suspect left the hotel, entered a gray Toyota RAV4 SUV, and drove north on US Hwy 441.

The suspect was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a t-shirt wrapped around his head and a dust mask on his face.
