Four gunfire incidents with no injuries took place over a nearly six-hour stretch in Lake City.

According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) press release, officers responded to four separate reports of gunfire between 6:04 p.m. Thursday and 12:23 a.m. Friday.

The initial dispatch came at 6:04 p.m. at SE Putnam Street where witnesses observed a red Nissan car with tinted windows traveling west. The witnesses told officers that they “observed a black male with an afro lower the back passenger window of the car” and fire three to four shots from a handgun. The Nissan then fled the area.

Officers located one nearby residence with a security camera facing SE Putnam Street, but the homeowner refused to allow the officers to review the footage and stated they did not wish to be involved.

The second dispatch came at 10:06 p.m. when officers went to NW Florida Avenue to an anonymous report of gunfire. Officers searched the area of the alleged incident and found no evidence or damage to property.
