GPD arrests armed robbery suspect at UFORA apartment complex

Gainesville police arrested a suspect who reportedly robbed Wildside Smoke Shop in Gainesville on Wednesday.

According to the Gainesville Police Department (GPD), the call came in at 1:09 p.m. on Wednesday that the Wildside Smoke Shop at 1029 W. University Ave. was robbed.

Police arrested Major Leo Carney Croom, 19, at 4:55 p.m. at the UFORA apartment complex at 1281 SW 5th Ave.

Croom is charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm and is in the Alachua County Jail.
