Two separate drive-by shootings Friday injured two people in Gainesville.
According to two Gainesville Police Department (GPD) releases, officers responded to at 10:23 p.m. to 1200 SE 19th Terrace in the Lincoln Estates neighborhood following calls of a drive-by shooting. Several cars were struck by the gunfire by no injuries were reported.
Officers then were dispatched at 10:49 p.m. to 1100 NE 25th Terrace in the Duval neighborhood to the report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims shot.
The two victims were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
