On Thursday, Gainesville Police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy at the Woodland Park Apartments on Aug. 10.
According to a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) release, officers arrested D’Angelo Latrell Deed and charged him with one count of murder and one count of robbery. Deed allegedly shot the juvenile at 1900 SE 4th Street.
The incident is still under investigation and GPD detectives are requesting that anyone with information is asked to call 352-393-7729 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 352-372-7867.
Deed is being held in the Alachua County Jail.
