Other officers arriving at the scene conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with improper equipment. As the vehicle stopped at the intersection of NW Long Street and NW Fowler Avenue, a person wearing dark clothing exited the driver’s side back seat of the vehicle and fled. Officers were unable to locate the person.

Officers interviewed the four remaining teenage occupants and discovered they were victims of an alleged armed carjacking committed by the suspect who fled the vehicle.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.
