The CCSO stated that since the school threat was directed to multiple schools, the Lake City Police Department will assist CCSO with providing extra law enforcement around both public and private school campuses throughout Columbia County on Monday.

The suspect originally posted on Instagram, “Next school shooting is Lake City High School and Middle School🔫[water pistol emoji] Ain nb fin be living”, (short for “ain’t nobody gonna be living.”), according to WCJB.

CCSO asked anyone with additional information about a safety concern to call 386-719-2005 or use the Fortify app at https://getfortifyfl.com/.
