Teenager shot on Fairview Street

A teenage boy was shot in the leg while walking along Fairview Street in Lake City on Sunday night.

According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) press release, officers responded to NE Fairview Street around 9:16 p.m. where a 15-year-old male was shot in the lower leg.

The victim stated that he and some friends were walking along the street when they heard gunfire, but he did not know who fired the shots.

Emergency responders transported the victim to the hospital.

LCPD is asking anyone with information concerning this incident to contact investigators at (386) 752-4343.
