A Union County man received three life sentences for sexual battery on multiple juvenile girls.
According to an Eighth Judicial Circuit release, Judge Mitchell Bishop sentenced Keith Bradley Mills, 49, on charges of sexual battery on a person under 12, engaging in sexual battery with a child 12-18 by familial or custodial authority, lewd or lascivious molestation on a person under 12, and lewd or lascivious molestation on a person under 16. The sentencing followed a two-day trial and the jury needed only 30 minutes to return a guilty verdict.
The trial stemmed from a June 19, 2023, call to the Union County Sheriff’s Office (UCSO) from the biological father of multiple juvenile girls who alleged abuse.
The UCSO investigation identified Mills as the suspect who sexually battered two victims multiple times between 2015 and 2019. One of the victims at the time was between the ages of 11-15. Mills was arrested based on the investigation.
Mills, who is deemed a sexual predator, is pending prosecution on one additional case that hasn’t been set for trial.
