The Afterschool Meals Program, or the Supper Program, will expand to include Metcalfe Elementary School starting Sept. 5, the Alachua County School Board Food & Nutrition Department announced Wednesday.
The Afterschool Meals Program is part of the Child Care Food Program, providing free nutritious meals and snacks to children in afterschool programs.
The supper program now reaches 37 locations. Most locations are schools, but the program is also available at some Boys & Girls Clubs and community centers.
Menus for the program locations are available online.
