Boys Basketball: Santa Fe edges Eastside in OT; Gainesville rallies past Williston

Last night the Santa Fe boys basketball team remained unbeaten with a 59-51 win in overtime at Eastside in a Class 4A-District 5 game. 

The Rams entered the game winning 11 of the last 12 against the Raiders.

However, North Carolina State signee Ernest Ross led the Raiders with 28 points, and sophomore Dontrell Jenkins scored 13 to help lead the way. 

Jarvil Gainey and Omar Brown led the Rams with 17 points apiece. Santa Fe improved to 4-0, and will travel to Saint Francis Catholic on Saturday night.  Eastside, which dropped to 3-1, will play Vanguard (Ocala) on Saturday at the Tim Brinkley Shootout at North Marion High School.

Gainesville 58, Williston 52

The Gainesville boys basketball team won its first game of the season last night. The Hurricanes rallied from a 9-point halftime deficit and scored 31 points in the fourth quarter to win at Williston 58-52.
