The Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees proposed an increase in student fees and fines starting in the 2023-24 school year.

According to an SF release, the District Board of Trustees will meet at 4 p.m. on June 20 to vote on the new user fees and fines.

The user fees and fines, which are reviewed each June, “shall not exceed the cost of the services provided and shall be charged only to persons receiving the services,” according to the release. “User fees and fines are assessed to students or community members who engage in the services that, because of their nature, require special funding not provided by regular tuition.”

The proposed user fees and fines schedule can be found at sfcollege.edu/finance/student/user-fees-fines/  The list includes parking fines and laboratory fees.

The user fees and fines are based on the increased cost of the services.

The non-credit clock hour and credit hour tuition and fee rates will not be affected.
