The Military Friendly Advisory Council selected Santa Fe College to its Top 10 college list for military members and their families for the fifth straight year.
Military Friendly awards colleges the designation based on factors including public data sources and responses from a survey, according to a Santa Fe press release.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized as a Military Friendly institution,” SF President Dr. Paul Broadie II in a statement. “This prestigious designation is due to the great work from Sandra Torres-Pintos and her team at our Veterans and Military Success Services. Their dedication to our student veterans and their families, helping them navigate through their unique challenges has been vital to promoting the success of our student veterans. Our college is fortunate to have a strong military community.”
The 2022-23 survey includes responses from more than 1,800 schools with 665 earning Top 10 designations and 282 selected for the “Gold” award. Click here to see SF’s results on the Military Friendly website.
“It is an honor to be classified as Military Friendly for a fifth straight year,” said Sandra Torres-Pintos, SF’s coordinator of Veterans and Military Success Services. “Santa Fe College has been dedicated to supporting our veterans and their families and would do so without this recognition. We deeply appreciate the sacrifices our veterans have made and are dedicated to seeing them succeed in the classroom and beyond.”
